Dampezzo is a fully approved Hanoverian stallion. He ranked 4th out of 38 stallions in the dressage portion of his 100 Day Stallion Test in Germany. He combines both movement and a pedigree that promises a bright future in breeding and competition. He is the first approved son of Don Frederico to stand in NA. In 2006, Don Frederico was Dressage Stallion of the Year. He was awarded 9’s and 9+ for his walk, trot and canter and was Dressage Champion and Reserve Champion at his stallion licensing in 2000. His sire, Donnerhall, produced more than 70 approved stallions in Germany alone. Dampezzo’s dam’s sire, Lauries Crusader, was proclaimed Hanoverian Stallion of the Year in 2006. Also on the dam’s side, Weltmeyer’s credentials are endless, including winner of the stallion licensing in Verden 1986, and Hanoverian Stallion of the Century 2006. Dampezzo had a very rewarding 2009 show season in PSG and Intermediare 1, placing consistently in the top three, winning many of his classes and an FEI Advance Championship to his credit. He was very highly received by both judges and spectators with such comments as Olympic calibre, magnificent, brilliant and unbelievable talent. Watch for this exciting stallion during the 2010 show season.
