What a whirlwind of a weekend it was at the Devon Horse Show, in Devon, PA! Our beautiful girl Karamel K (Redwine/Popeye K/Hammar) took home 2nd place in an extremely competitive Non-TB 3 year old mare class. It was an Incredible honour to be able to stand up such a wonderful mare, bred by Ashland Farm, amongst such great company and hold our own. Truly a Bucket List achievement for me 🤩. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful people that were around us to lend help and support! Thank you to Maura & Ronnie, Robyn & Cathy and Carol Jones-Packwood for driving ALL the way from Ontario to cheer us on…your support and cheers helped Kara and I compete with confidence! Thank you to Paul Morgan for putting up with my neurotic horseshow self and for getting up at 4am to drive 9+ hours to allow us to have this experience, to my amazing sister Jayme without whom I would not have been able to keep my cool, lifelong friend Allison Spooner-West (who took home 6th with her beautiful Tallullah VLS-Redwine/Popeye K) and Christine Baker for all the help getting Karamel and I to the ring…it really does take a village 💗. It was great to have fellow Canadian breeder, Louise Masek with her colt Beau Balou, stabled next to us to share in the whole experience!
